Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the Yankees Fall Short While the Mets Face Elimination

Game three of the American League Championship Series ended dramatically in extra innings, but the Cleveland Guardians managed to protect their home field advantage.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. contributed a single and a stolen base in the Yankees’ 7-5 loss to the Guardians at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

The Yankees still lead the series 2-1, with game four scheduled for tonight at 8:08 p.m. and game five tomorrow night. Chisholm now has hits in consecutive games and recorded his second stolen base of the postseason.

Meanwhile, in the National League Championship Series, Thursday night didn’t go any better for Antoan Richardson and the New York Mets.

The Dodgers’ potent lineup, led by Shohei Otani, powered them to a commanding 10-2 win last night at Citi Field in New York.

Los Angeles now leads the series 3-1, putting the Mets in a do-or-die situation in tonight’s game five.

Mingoes Soccer Team Struggles on the Road

The University of The Bahamas Mingoes men’s soccer team suffered a 6-0 defeat to Millennia Atlantic University (MAU) Macaws at Doral Meadow Park Football Field in Doral, Florida.

This loss brings the Mingoes to a 2-2-3 record for the season.

MAU secured a 4-0 lead by halftime and added two more goals by the 70th minute to seal the win.

The Mingoes will have a quick turnaround, with a rematch against MAU scheduled for tomorrow night.

Kaylia Capri Set to Fight for ACW Women’s Title

Bahamian wrestler Kaylia Capri steps into the squared circle tomorrow night with a chance to win the ACW Women’s Title at All Caribbean Wrestling’s Fight for Paradise.

The event will be hosted at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium, with doors opening at 1 p.m. and the main event kicking off at 6 p.m.

This will mark ACW’s second event in The Bahamas this year, following Baha Bash last June.

The fight card includes seven major matches, featuring wrestlers who have performed at WWE’s NXT development program and All Elite Wrestling.
