Eric Gordon Joins Deandre Ayton in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ, USA.  Eric Gordon has joined fellow Bahamian Deandre Ayton on the Phoenix Suns.
Gordon signed a two-year deal, worth $6 million to join the Suns, departing from the Los Angeles Clippers after they waived his $21 million dollar contract, saving themselves over $100 million in taxes and penalties

Gordon, whose mother hails from The Bahamas joins another Bahamian, New Providence native Deandre Ayton, the Suns’ starting center.
At 34, Gordon is headed towards the end of his career, however, he shot over 42% with the Clippers and his skillset as a deadeye shooter as well as his veteran savvy and professionalism, makes a player like him coveted in the NBA.

Gordon joins a Suns team in transition after trading away point guard Chris Paul a few weeks ago. The Suns lost depth and shooting after trading Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson to land Kevin Durant mid-season. This cost them dearly in the playoffs. The Suns are hoping that adding a sharpshooting vet like Gordon can help them regain some of what they lost.
