NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Officials are calling it a red letter day for the staff at The Bahamas Agricultural Industrial Corporation as they signed an industrial agreement yesterday with the Bahamas General Workers Union.

The agreement which back dates five years, will expire in June, however; BAIC Executive Chairman Leroy Major says a new agreement will be completed in short order.

BAIC Labour Consultant, Leslie Dean Sr, explains some of the benefits in the agreement.

Dean says other benefits like paternity leave are also apart of the agreement.
