Bail Act: We Believe The Law Is Adequate

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Members at all levels of the judiciary making their annual trek to Pro-Cathedral of Christ The King for the Opening of The Legal Year in the northern Bahamas. 

In attendance, Attorney General Ryan Pinder offering his support to both public and private bars.

Pinder also responded to concerns being raised by the commissioner of police and by the general public, saying he does not believe that the bail act needs to be amended.

The attorney general also told Our News that anti-gang legislation will be a top focus for the year 2024

Pinder added that the government is looking to bring greater independence to the judiciary.
