Bail Denied for Alleged Boyfriend who Killed Mother and Daughter

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 23-year-old man is behind bars facing murder charges after his girlfriend and her teenage daughter were found dead inside their home. 

Prosecutors say Blake Strachan murdered his 38-year-old girlfriend Allison Thompson and her 14-year-old daughter Trevornika Thompson sometime between April 11 and 14.

On Friday, April 14, police were called to an apartment at Ross Corner to investigate a foul smell.

After forcing their way inside, the officers found the decomposing bodies of Ms Thompson and her daughter.

Strachan didn’t have to  enter pleas to the charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt on Monday.

Bail was denied and he returns to court on July 27 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
