Bail Denied for Man Accused of Deadly 2025 Nightclub Shooting

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of a nightclub shooting that killed one man and seriously injured another has been refused bail after a Supreme Court judge found that he poses a risked to public safety.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of a nightclub shooting that killed one man and seriously injured another has been refused bail after a Supreme Court judge found that he poses a risked to public safety.

Prosecutors allege that twenty-four-year-old Tracey Russell and Travase Williams got into an argument while at a nightclub on Nassau Street on July 14, 2024.

Russell allegedly left and returned with a gun with which he allegedly shot and killed Williams. Markenson Mitchell, who was in the area, was also shot.

Russell is charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
