Bail Denied for Man Accused of Raping Ex-Girlfriend Outside Her Home

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man is in custody after his ex-girlfriend accused him of rape earlier this year.

Prosecutors say 37-year-old Rodney Felix accosted the 29-year-old woman outside of her southwestern New Providence home and raped her.

The incident allegedly took place on January 11.

Felix didn’t have to enter a plea to the rape charge when he stood before Assistant Chief Magistrate Kara Deveaux.

Bail was denied and he returns to court on June 19 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
