Bain: We Need A Labor Reform In This Country

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Coalition of Independents leader Lincoln Bain is calling for a complete overhaul of the labor system. His comments came at the 2024 Sir Randol Fawkes Labor Day Parade. Bain has been vocal in the past on a number of social issues, with labor being top among them, believing it should be all about the people.

Bain has sought to hold the government’s feet to the fire on multiple occasions. With dozens of protests held nationwide over various contractual agreements, Bain argues that they are not truly benefiting from these signings. Others, including the president of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas Trade Union Congress, Obie Ferguson, have also been vocal about labor reform in the country. Bain emphasized that this is what his party is fighting for.
