NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A busy week for members of the judiciary who witnessed the opening of the Legal Year in both New Providence and Grand Bahama.

Bar Association President Khalil Parker speaking to pieces of legislation he says the association hopes will come soon.

Topping that list is the freedom of information act.

In addition, Parker says they’re looking forward to the revised Legal Professions Act and the Court Services Bill.

The court services bill is described as integral to the judiciary’s ability to respond to a number of structural issues.
