Becoming an Environmental Steward
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Living in The Bahamas comes with a certain set of responsibilities. The natural environment is ours to take care of, according to Heather Brockbank, who works as the outreach assistant for the Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Living in The Bahamas comes with a certain set of responsibilities. The natural environment is ours to take care of, according to Heather Brockbank, who works as the outreach assistant for the Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation.
Brockbank, who is also a graduate of the Bahamas Environmental Steward Scholarship, or BESS program, says her experience in high school led her to want to do more to protect the world around her.
So, she took a leap to become an environmental steward, becoming a peer teacher and leader.
