NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Stefan Knowles picked right back up where he left off last year during day one of the Best of the Best Regatta.

The winner of all three divisions last year repeated the feat on day one of the 2023 regatta, sweeping the A, B and C classes.

It wasn’t easy but Knowles handled his business as far as he was concerned.

Saturday is a big day at the regatta according to sailing council member Dwayne Higgins as the youth sailors will face off.

The U.S. Virgin Islands prevailed in a rematch of last October’s tie in St. Croix, logging their first victory in the road to the women’s gold cup on Wednesday at the Roscow A. Davies Field in New Providence.

The USVI’s Makiesh Taylor broke the stalemate, scoring the first goal in the 16th minute but Keyonique Taylor would tie the game up in the 31st.

Bianca Canzino would come right back in the 34th to put the USVI up once and for all, giving the game its final score, and securing their first win.
