UNITED STATES – United States President Joe Biden recently told media he was not worried about Britain’s political upheaval from the resignation of Prime Minister Liz Truss affecting the U.S. economy.

In a statement after Truss resigned, Biden said the U.S. and the United Kingdom are strong allies, with an enduring friendship and that fact will never change. 

He thanked Prime Minister Truss for her partnership on a range of issues including holding Russia accountable for its war against Ukraine and said the U.S. will continue its close cooperation with the U.K. government as both countries meet the global challenges their nations face.
