Body Washes Ashore on Arawak Cay

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police investigating the circumstances around the discovery of a man’s body on Arawak Cay beach, Friday.

Residents were casually enjoying a morning swim on Arawak Cay Beach Friday morning just feet away, police investigating a suspected drowning.

Police Press Liason, Supt. Audley Peters says shortly after 8am police were called to the western end of Arawak Cay Beach where the body of a man was found floating in the waters.

Police say while the body has not officially been identified, they have learned the victim may be a vagrant who frequents the area.
