BRAZIL – China and nations from Latin America and the Caribbean are teaming up on human rights.

More than 130 officials and experts met in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday for the second China-LAC roundtable on human rights.

The group discussed cooperation on digital ethics, green development, and global governance, despite cultural differences.

Organizers say the goal is to build a shared future and set a global example.

The meeting ended with the launch of a China-LAC human rights network and the signing of the São Paulo consensus.
