SAN FRANCISCO, UNITED STATES – The Grand Bahama-born sharpshooter got off to a white-hot start in his home arena in San Francisco, scoring a competition-high 31 points in the first round, tying a record for most points in a round set by his teammate Stephen Curry in 2021, en route to the finals.

In the final, he went against Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat, who scored 24 points, Buddy would miss his first 7 shots of the round, rallying to get to 23, but a miss on the final rack would seal the win for herro.

Herro was the first heat player to win the three-point contest since James Jones in 2011.

Buddy previously won the contest in 2020.
