GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The basketball summer camp put on by Bahamian NBA Star Chavano “Buddy” Hield is back on.

Hield has been hosting summer camps for kids in New Providence and Grand Bahama, since 2015.

But for the past two years the camp was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But this summer the Grand Bahama native is back, launching his camp at the Jack Hayward high school this morning.

Hield says he is ecstatic to return after the pandemic and giving back to children in The Bahamas remains a priority. He says he plans to expand his camp to the entire Bahamas.
