NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A number of roads on New Providence are in poor condition, requiring regular maintenance to bring them up to the international standard of our newer thoroughfares.

Francis Clarke, Senior Civil Engineer at the Ministry of Works, explains the newer roads on New Providence were built to an international standard with a life expectancy of 20 years or more.

He revealed that potholes don’t always appear after a rainy day, but when they do appear, Clarke says work crews are dispatched to the area.
