NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A bus driver is dead and a teen passenger is in hospital after police say a passenger opened fire as he was exiting a jitney on Robinson Road, Tuesday morning.

Police Press Liaison Officer Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings says the incident unfolded around 10am, while other passengers were on board the bus.

Skippings says the 32-year-old bus driver died at the scene.

Police have an idea of who the victim is because a woman claiming to be his mother showed up on the scene.

The 16-year-old who was also shot in the ambush was taken to hospital, and his condition was not released.
