Cabinet Approves Environmental Sustainability Fund
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Cabinet has approved the establishment of an Environmental Sustainability Fund, according to Attorney General Ryan Pinder.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Cabinet has approved the establishment of an environmental sustainability fund, according to Attorney General Ryan Pinder.
Pinder says the fund is a mandated function of the Environmental Protection Act.
He made the revelation as he gave an update on fines to be levied against the company responsible for that oil spill in Exuma last year.
The fines for that Exuma spill he says will be held until the fund is established, which he says should be soon.
Pinder says a salvage crew is on site working to remove the sunken vessel.
