NASSAU, BAHAMAS – CARICOM countries are taking a stronger stance when it comes to trying to slow down the flow of guns from the United States into the region and Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell said The Bahamas may be taking an even stronger stance in the near future.

The foreign affairs minister said it is not only about the guns themselves, but the moral implications that gun violence can spread in a community.

Mitchell, who serves as the Member of Parliament for Fox Hill, used some of his own constituents as an example of the emotional aftermath and the impact that violence can leave behind.
