NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis says there needs to be a probe into last week’s protest that ended in chaos ahead of the 44th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads.

Dr. Minnis pointing out there have been protests at other gatherings, including the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings.

Members from the Coalition of Independents protested last week Wednesday.

Eighteen people, including COI Leader Lincoln Bain, were subsequently arrested and had an initial appearance in court on Friday.

Minnis says the implications of the protest were far reaching.
