CARIBBEAN – The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) recently warning mosquito-borne diseases pose a serious threat across the region, with increasing outbreaks of Dengue, Zika, and Chikungunya causing hospitalizations and deaths.

In the first half of 2024, CARPHA says suspected dengue cases in the Americas have surged dramatically compared to last year.

CARPHA urged member states to intensify surveillance and prevention efforts, emphasizing the need for integrated vector management strategies during the hurricane season.
