NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prosecutors have decided to drop their case against the mother of convicted firearms and drug dealer 30-year-old Kyle Carter.

Police arrested Carter and his 60-year-old mother Cheryl Key on May 15 after they seized 15 firearms, 565 rounds of ammunition, assorted magazines, 157 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, marijuana gummies and THC vape pens from their home off Sandialands Village Road.

Before the seizure, police on traffic duties stopped Carter for driving a black Mr Lock van erratically.After searching the vehicle, they found a small amount of marijuana, leading the officers to get a warrant to search his home off Sandilands Village Road.

Carter pleaded guilty to drug and weapons dealing charges and was sentenced to five years in prison.
