CAT ISLAND, BAHAMAS – It will now be easier for residents of some Family Islands to apply for or renew their Bahamian passport, with the opening of a satellite passport office on Cat Island.

Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell says the Bahamian passport is more powerful than many may know.

Mitchell and Prime Minister Philip Davis attended the opening of a new satellite passport office on Cat Island, Monday.

Prime Minister Davis, who is also the island’s MP, explained that access of government services is vital for Bahamians everywhere.
