“There’s lots to be done, but it all boils down to volunteers and corporate partners writing checks and putting their money where their mouth is to really make sure our communities strive.”

In addition to the financial contribution, communication devices were also provided to the unit to assist in future emergency responses.

Fire Officer Corporal Mark Bowleg expressed deep gratitude, not only for the donation, but also for the unwavering commitment and courage of the volunteers who serve the community.

Mark Bowleg – Fire Officer, Royal Bahamas Police Force
“We really thank you for the donation. We thank you for the support. What you see sitting in front of you is a fine group of dedicated volunteers who come out no matter what time of day. Whenever they get the call, they are willing and able to respond without hesitation to protect the community, not just the Marsh Harbor area, but the island of Abaco at large.”
