NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In the early morning hours, a shooting on Bernard Road claimed the lives of three men, leaving an adult female and a juvenile boy with gunshot injuries. Officers from the Fox Hill Police Station responded to reports of a shooting around 9:20 p.m. and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds at a barber shop near Rahming Court. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) declared both men dead on the scene. The third victim later died in the hospital.

“Our initial reports indicate that two adult males were discovered with gunshot wounds, and sadly, both were declared dead at the scene. A juvenile male and an adult female were also found injured and transported to the hospital.”

Shortly after the incident, two men, aged 26 and 31, were taken into police custody and are assisting with the ongoing investigation.

“We can confirm that both adult males involved are currently in custody, assisting us with our investigation.”

The area where the incident occurred is equipped with CCTV, including a camera device on the door of the barber shop. Assistant Commissioner of Police Zhivargo Dames, in charge of Information and Communications Technology, confirmed that the footage is being reviewed.

Chief Supt. Maycock did not mince words when discussing the state of crime and violence in the country.
