NEW YORK, UNITED STATES – The New York Yankees had an offensive outburst Tuesday night, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. appeared to be part of that with his first at-bat. However, his night ended early due to an injury concern.

Chisholm left the matchup against the Baltimore Orioles with an oblique injury and missed the season finale Wednesday night. Plans were for Chisholm to undergo an MRI, after which a definitive timetable for his return will be set.

Chisholm suffered the injury on his first swing of the game but completed the at-bat with a double, diving into second base before being replaced by a pinch runner.

Kristian Robinson has had a historic start to the season for the Amarillo Sod Poodles, while Sebastian Walcott has helped the Frisco RoughRiders to a division lead in AA baseball.

Robinson had an on-base streak of 17 consecutive games for the Sod Poodles in his second full season with the club. After a 2024 season where he hit .214 with 11 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 110 games, Robinson’s 2025 season already includes a .270 average with five home runs, 16 RBI, and four stolen bases in just 22 games.

Amarillo is 9-14, fourth in the Texas League’s South Division, but Walcott and the RoughRiders lead the division at 14-7.

The Texas Rangers’ top prospect is hitting .244 with two home runs, 12 RBI, and five stolen bases.

As a freshman under head coach Missy Tiber, Charlton started 28 games and averaged 9.5 points with 3.7 rebounds in just under 23 minutes per game. As a sophomore under head coach Candi Whitaker, Charlton’s numbers decreased to just 2.2 points in just over seven minutes per game.

The Warriors suffered the most lopsided loss of their series against the Houston Rockets, 131-116 at the Toyota Center in Houston.

Hield had just four points and shot 2-6 from the field in 18 minutes, on a night that was an offensive struggle for the entire Warriors lineup.
