UNITED STATES – American Vogue is entering a new era as Chloe Malle has been named the magazine’s new editor-in-chief – taking over from fashion icon dame Anna Wintour, who held the role for nearly four decades.

The 39-year-old has been with Vogue for 14 years, rising from social editor to running vogue.com and hosting its podcast.

The daughter of actress Candice Bergen and French director Louis Malle, she says Vogue has already shaped who she is and now she’s ready to shape Vogue itself.

Dame Anna isn’t stepping away entirely, she’ll stay on as Chief Content Officer for Condé Nast, overseeing Vogue and other major titles.
