NASSAU, BAHAMAS – New Providence saw mild storm action, Wednesday, unless of course, you were on the western side of the island.

A viral video shot in the area of Saunders Beach saw cars and motorists almost swept away by sand and debris.

Vaklev Bastian, a certified trainer at New Body Fitness in the Saunders Beach Plaza says he left around noon and by that time, the roads were officially closed.

Herve Swaby also works in the plaza. When he arrived around 7:30 on Wednesday morning, he says the conditions escalated quickly.

Now the problems for the plaza didn’t actually start on Wednesday during Nicole. On Tuesday, a freak accident caused major damage to the plaza’s wall.

Swaby says as of today, repairs are underway.
