NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In honor of the country’s 50th anniversary, The Bahamas National Trust has embarked on tree planting campaign.

The wife of the prime minister visiting the island of Grand Bahama to take part in that effort planting trees at several key locations the spouse of the prime minister Ann Marie Davis visiting Grand Bahama on Monday to plant a Lingnum Vitae tree as one of the 50 trees the Bahamas National Trust will plant in recognition of the country’s 50th anniversary,

Ann Marie Davis also planting a breadfruit tree at the Rand Nature Center and at a number of Urban Renewal Centers across the island.

She says it has been proven that the breadfruit tree is one of the only trees that survived hurricane dorian in East Grand Baahama.

She explains experts say the breadfruit tree will be the tree of choice during this climate change era adding that the fruit itself has a lot of nutritional benefits

And next, the spouse of the prime minister says she plans to go to Abaco and Eleuthera with The Bahamas National Trust to continue the effort.
