Ole Miss Beats the Bulldogs 69-59 In Conference Play

ATHENS, GA, USA – Grand Bahama-born University of Mississippi head women’s basketball coach Yolett McPhee McCuin and her rebels had a week to stew on last Sunday’s loss to hated in-state rival Mississippi State. 

They came out yesterday against the University of Georgia Bulldogs with a mission to get back in the win column and they did just that, beating them 69-59.

Senior forward Kennedy Todd-Williams got the start for the Rebels after coming off the bench in the last game, stepping up to score 22 points on 10 of 15 shooting. She also grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 5 assists.

Snudda Collins added 17 points to help Ole Miss get the win. 

Coach Yo said she felt like the game was important in helping her team get back on-track reestablishing themselves as a gritty, defense-oriented.

In the postgame presser, she said, “Holding them to 9 points in the second [quarter] and 13 in the fourth is what I want Ole Miss Women’s Basketball to look like.”

The Rebels will make their return to conference play on Thursday when they go up against the University of Florida Gators back in the Sip.
