NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Coach Yolett Mcphee-Mccuin hosted a free basketball clinic at the Kendal Isaacs gym today for first through eighth graders.

Through her foundation no ceilings, she says clinics like hers are fundamental to growth and the children agreed.

The plan is to take the camp to the family islands soon.

Bahamas Davis Cup Team In Paraguay

In May we introduced you to Michal Major Jr. The day we interviewed Michael, he had just turned 18 and had already racked up many accolades in his tennis career.

We caught up with him earlier this week as he is one of the members of the Davis Cup team set to compete in Paraguay from June 17-22.

Keyshawn Entering The Transfer Portal

Bahamian national record holder in the men’s javelin Keyshawn Strachan will be leaving Auburn University.

Strachan made the announcement on his instagram page yesterday expressing his gratitude for the journey he had at Auburn.

He said he is entering the transfer portal to quote explore new opportunities for growth both academically and athletically end quote.

Strachan turned in a strong performance at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) division I outdoor track and field championships, finishing fifth in that event at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, USA.

His eyes are now set on the Olympics in July and qualifying for the World Championships in Tokyo, japan next year.
