NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The arrest of activist and Coalition of Independents Party Leader Lincoln Bain is “unacceptable” according to COI Deputy Leader, Maria Daxon.

Speaking with Our News outside the House of Assembly, Wednesday, Daxon says United States and United Nations officials are “watching.”

“Unacceptable in this country… because we have a voice and they don’t want to hear what we have to say,” Daxon proclaimed.

“The Bahamian people – we’re going to stand up and we going to fight any government that come in here and don’t carry on the people’s business.”

Daxon says the group is tired of the crime rate increasing, rising immigration and they also want to know where the Freedom of Information Act is.
