COLOMBIA – Colombian Naval Forces have seized nearly two tonnes of cocaine during a high-seas interception off the country’s pacific coast.

The Colombian Navy says marines detected a suspicious “go-fast” vessel about 140 nautical miles from the Tumaco District in Nariño.

After boarding the boat, authorities found 68 bales of drugs and 18 fuel canisters.

Officials confirmed the cargo contained 1,999 kilograms of cocaine.

Three people were arrested and handed over to judicial authorities for prosecution.
