NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An Appeal Court has upheld the conviction and four-year sentence handed to a man accused of the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

The man’s name has been sealed by the court and he was identified only as MR.

According to the evidence presented in the case, on September 11, 2020, the teen went to MR’s home to visit his wife, who is her mother’s friend.

MR told the girl that was his wife went to his mother, who lived nearby.

The girl decided to wait and sat on a chair by the door.

After about ten minutes, the girl told MR that she was leaving.

At that time, MR locked the front door, before he grabbed her, pushed her on to the bed, and had sex with her against her will.

He sent the girl home and told her not to tell anyone or he would kill her.
