Deputy Prime Minister and Exumas and Ragged Island Member of Parliament Chester Cooper reaffirming his government’s commitment to Ragged Island.

Cooper said he’s hoping to have tangible answers for them in the coming weeks.

The southern island has seen little improvement since Hurricane Irma ravaged the island.

In the aftermath of the storm, former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis declared that Ragged Island would be transformed into a green island.

Over the years, announcements were made for the rebuilding of infrastructures like the island’s school but weren’t completed.

Cooper said this time around Ragged Islanders can count on him and his government.

He said they will continue working on infrastructural developments for the island.
