NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The fallout continues over a series of viral voice notes that prompted an investigation into the Head Of The Criminal Investigation Department who was placed on paid leave last week. Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander insisted that the matter won’t be swept under the rug.

A select team from the Security Intelligence Branch will investigate the Criminal Investigations Department amid leaked voice recordings. Fernander has also told reporters that an independent international body will be brought in for support.

In addition, he said that personal transfers have begun within the police force, including CID. The incident has left many to question the integrity of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, where Fernander himself even admitted that the incident will affect public trust and confidence within the force.
