TRINIDAD & TOBAGO – Ten Caribbean leaders and some 100 delegates gathering in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday to discuss the growing threat of crime in the region.

The regional symposium: Violence as a Public Health Issue – the CARICOM challenge, emphasizing the public health risk from the growing violence.

Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley telling the forum violence in the Caribbean is a public health emergency.

Prime Minister Philip Davis who is also attending, detailed the level of crime in the region, and said while better laws and expanded police capacity are important in a successful strategy, we need all hands on deck.
