Deandre Ayton & Suns Demolish Warriors, Klay Gets First Ejection

PHOENIX, USA – Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns ran over Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night, winning 134-105. The game was the first matchup of for the season between the two Bahamian NBA stars. 

The Suns started out with an early lead, finishing the first quarter up 37-29.

The Warriors would hang around going into halftime down 72-66, but the Suns overwhelmed them in the 2nd half ending the third quarter up 105-86. 

Ayton controlled the paint for the Suns, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and helping the Suns to outscore the Warriors in the paint, 62-48.

Sharpshooting Suns guard Devin Booker had a team-high 36 points to go along with 7 assists and 3 steals. Venerable point guard Chris Paul contributed 16 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds.

It was a frustrating night for Klay Thompson as he shot 1-8 from the field with 2 points before getting into a confrontation with Devin Booker, resulting in the first ejection of his 11-year NBA career.

Warriors guard Stephen Curry had 21 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists while Jordan Poole had 17 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists off the bench.
