TEXAS – At least 111 people are confirmed dead and more than 170 remain missing after catastrophic flash floods swept through Texas Hill County.

TEXAS – At least 111 people are confirmed dead and more than 170 remain missing after catastrophic flash floods swept through Texas Hill County.

Officials say 87 of the deaths occurred in Kerr County, where rescue teams are still combing the Guadalupe river for survivors.

Among the dead: 27 campers and counselors from camp Mystic, a historic all-girls christian summer camp.

At least 6 from the camp, 5 campers and 1 counselor, are still unaccounted for.

Hundreds of rescue workers remain on the ground as the search continues.
