GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – After numerous  complaints, work crews have completed repairs to the Fishing Hole Road service road, making the daily commute a little easier for West Grand Bahama residents.

That’s Eight Mile Rock Resident Jonathon Sweeting said he is pleased to see the service road back in operation as he says he avoided the area for a long time after he saw what was happening to other road users on the Fishing Hole Road Causeway.

Ministry of Works officials confirmed the service road would be repaired before the causeway. The project is expected to be completed in a few weeks.

West Grand Bahama Resident Stephanie Wright says the daily commute was affected when the causeway closed, but she notes drivers need to obey the speed limits as construction continues.
