NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In his budget wrap-up communication Prime Minister Philip Davis asserted that the government has been doing the work of the Port Authority.

This prompted a response from the port saying that certain projects such as the Grand Lucayan and airport amongst others are the government’s responsibility.

Leader of the Opposition Michael Pintard says the back and forth between the pm and port is not beneficial.

Pintard says, since coming to power, the new day administration has done nothing to benefit Grand Bahama.

While Pintard is holding governments’ feet to the fire, he also puts blame on the port for its shortcomings and failure to complete projects.
