NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After months of questions from the press, Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander recently announcing there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the matter against PLP Cabinet Minister Jobeth Coleby-Davis.

Well, Free National Movement leader Michael Pintard isn’t buying.

The commissioner’s explanation, even though the commissioner told a press briefing last week the matter is closed.

Last year, the Police Staff Association Chairman Ricardo Walkes said an officer was assaulted by a female driver during a carnival event.

He did not identify the alleged driver but said he had secured a lawyer.

When asked about the incident, Coleby-Davis said it wasn’t her character.

Pintard says the commissioner ought to release the facts of the investigation.
