NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas represented on the world stage at the UN Food Systems Summit. The organization’s mission – to help countries reach sustainable food systems by 2030 translating commitments into effective actions.
Representing The Bahamas was Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell.
He says international meetings like this are key in understanding and bettering food security in the nation.
Speaking in Rome, Mitchell says while international relations are important, lack of support from global financial institutions put Caribbean countries at a disservice.
