NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Attorney-General Allyson Maynard Gibson supporting government’s move to solicit public consultation on the proposed cannibis legislation.

Attorney General Ryan Pinder K.C. revealed the proposed contents of the bill which will create a framework for regulating the cultivation of cannabis as an agricultural crop and allow for certain medical treatment, scientific research, and religious uses of the drug.

Because of that alone, Maynard-Gibson says the bill will have an impact on our way of life.

She says the public has to ensure their views are heard and not wait until the legislation is laid in parliament.
