NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Parliamentarians past and present signed the Book of Condolences for Former Senator and PLP Chairman Andrew “Dud” Maynard who lied in state in the Senate yesterday. 

Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper was among them. Cooper remembered him as a fierce political worrier.

Maynard died at his home at the age of 82. 

In a statement following his passing PLP Chairman Fred Mitchell said he was a tough man and spared no hold back in his words. 

Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis and FNM Leader Michael Pintard were also on hand for the signing.
