REGIONAL – Four Caribbean nations are opening their borders to each other, allowing citizens to live and work freely without visas or permits.

Barbados, Belize, Dominica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines have signed a new free movement agreement that also grants access to education and health care.

Officials say security checks will still apply, with Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Mottley stressing that entry can be denied if there’s a legitimate threat to national security.
