GB Men Arraigned for Sexual Assault Matters

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS -Two Grand Bahama men arraigned for serious crimes this morning.

A 23-year-old woman was found lying in the road in the Deadaman’s Reef Community in and out of consciousness with injuries to the face and body.

Thirty-five-year-old Herman Major was arraigned for rape and causing harm in connection to that incident.

Bail was denied and he was remanded to prison until May 3rd.

Thirty-one-year-old Joshua Oliver of Coral Gardens in Freeport was arraigned for unlawful sexual intercourse and burglary.

The incident is in connection to a burglary and sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl that was reported to police on January 31st.

Oliver was not required to enter a plea.

Bail was denied and he was remanded to prison until April 23rd.
