Protesters say they are fed up with the island’s struggling economy, there have been no new major developments and they say the Port Authority lacks vision.

While on Grand Bahama, Prime Minister Phillip Davis admitted that Grand Bahama has not lived up to its full potential.

Businessman Elbert Hepburn opened a new multi-million dollar Maritime Agency, emphasizing his commitment to the island. While the GBPA is responsible for the issuance of business licenses, Hepburn says he has not been very involved with the regulatory body.

And as it relates to the recent protest, he says he agrees with the message, but, not the delivery method.
