However, some residents spoke under the pretence of anonymity, expressing cautious optimism.
Topping the list of concerns for many was the future of the Grand Lucayan Resort.
Following the update from the Prime Minister, residents shared their thoughts.
The prime minister also claiming Grand Bahama has the fastest-growing economy in the country – a statement that sparked strong reactions from residents we spoke with.
One resident sharing weighing in on the memorandum of understanding signed with Emera.
And as election season heats up, many residents question the timing of the announcements, saying they’ve heard similar promises before.
